Your child's privacy
Plusy holds a grown-up's email address and a child's practice record, and little else. It shows no ads, uses no advertising or analytics tools, and sells nothing about you.
What does Plusy hold about me, the grown-up?
Plusy holds what is needed to sign you in, and that is all. A grown-up makes the account, so the account details are yours, not your child's. What is held depends on how you sign in.
- Any sign-in: your email address.
- Email and password: a hashed password, which means Plusy cannot read it.
- Google: your name, profile picture and a Google account identifier. Plusy never receives your Google password.
Your email address is used to sign you in and for three kinds of message only: the address confirmation, a sign-in code and a password reset. Plusy sends no newsletters and no marketing.
What does Plusy hold about my child?
About the child, Plusy holds a practice record: where they are on each road and how their answers went. It is what lets the app pick the next question and carry on from the same place on another device.
- The age you picked, from 6 to 12 or over, and a first name or nickname if one was typed.
- Where the child is on each of the five roads.
- For each round, how many questions were asked and how many were right. For each fact, how often it was right and wrong.
- The kind of mistake made on a column question, such as a forgotten carry, with the question and the date. These notes are kept for 90 days.
- A short summary for each skill, such as carrying or borrowing: how often it was missed, when, and on which days your child did it right with no hint. Never the digits your child typed.
- Hearts, coins, XP, the daily goal and the streak.
- The lists you made.
What does Plusy never ask for?
Plusy does not ask for the child's full name, photo, phone number or location. A child has no email address in Plusy and no password, and never signs up for anything. The app has no microphone use, no chat and no friends list, so there is nowhere for a child to post or be contacted.
Who processes the data, and why?
Plusy is run by Importify Limited, registered in Hong Kong. It relies on a short list of services to host the app, sign you in and take payment. Each one receives only what its job needs.
| Service | What it receives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | The account, the child's profile, progress and lists | The app's database and sign-in, in the United States |
| Railway | What the server handles, as it passes through | Hosting plusy.app, in the United States |
| The sign-in itself, when you choose Continue with Google | Sign-in | |
| Postmark | Your email address and the text of the email | Sending the sign-in code |
| PayPro Global | The purchase: you pay them, and Plusy is told which account to unlock | The web purchase of the unlock |
| OpenAI | The description typed for an AI list, or a worksheet photo, and nothing else | AI lists and Scan a worksheet, only when you use them |
The iPhone and iPad app, which is on the way, will add Apple for sign-in and for the in-app purchase when those are used. Plusy never sees card details from any payment.
Where is AI used, and what happens to worksheet photos?
AI is used in two places only, both for the grown-up in My lists: reading a worksheet photo and writing an AI list. For a scan, only the photo is sent. For an AI list, only the description you typed is sent. Your name, your email and your child's progress are never sent.
A worksheet photo is not stored. It is shrunk on your device, held in memory only while it is read, and never saved to Plusy's servers or database. Only the list of questions is kept. Requests to OpenAI are sent with storage switched off. Plusy's Privacy Policy states that OpenAI does not train on this data and keeps it for at most 30 days to detect abuse.
Everything a child sees while practicing is made without AI: the questions, the answers, the hints, the explanation of a mistake and the tricks are all worked out in code.
Are there ads, tracking or analytics?
No. Plusy shows no ads and has no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics and no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDK. Personal information is not sold and is not used for marketing. The only cookies are the ones that keep you signed in, plus a small session marker that makes the Back button work.
Spoken facts are recordings made once and served by Plusy. Where Hear it uses the device's own voice, that voice belongs to the phone or browser and sends nothing to Plusy.
How do I see or delete what Plusy holds?
Each account can read only its own data. The app shows you the roads, the lists, and the name, age and email in You, Grown-ups, Settings. For any question about what is held, write to support@plusy.app.
Account data is kept for as long as the account exists and is erased when the account is deleted. You can delete it yourself at plusy.app/delete-account, which is immediate and permanent, or by emailing support, which is done within 7 days. Delete your account has the steps. The full text is in the Privacy Policy.
Questions
Can other people see my child's name or progress?
No. Each account can read only its own data, and Plusy has no leaderboards and no friends list. A list shared by link never shows who made it.
If I share a list, is anything recorded about the children who play it?
No. A round played from a shared link saves no progress and stores nothing about who played. Not even the person who shared the list can see who opened it.
Does Plusy record my child's voice?
No. Plusy has no microphone use and no speaking game. Sound goes one way only: the app says basic facts aloud after an answer.
Who gives consent for a child's data?
The grown-up who makes the account. A child does not sign up, and Plusy's Privacy Policy explains that the parent who creates the account consents to the collection described there, with reference to COPPA and GDPR-K.
How long are the mistake notes kept?
For 90 days. Plusy only uses the last 30 days of them to choose practice, deletes older ones as the app is used, and removes all of them when the account is deleted.
