Share a list with a link
Any list can be shared with a link. Whoever opens it can play the questions straight away, with no account, and nothing about who played is saved.
How do I share a list?
To share a Plusy list, open it from My lists and tap Share. Plusy makes a link that begins with plusy.app/s/ and shows it under Share this list. Copy it, or pass it on with your phone's own share menu, and send it however you like.
Open the list
Go to My lists and tap the list you want to send.
Tap Share
It is under the questions, beside Edit and Delete. A new list can also be shared from the builder with Share this list.
Copy or send the link
Copy link puts it on the clipboard, and Plusy confirms with Link copied. On a phone, Share opens the usual share menu where the browser has one.
Each list has one link, and anyone who has the link can play the list. Send it only to people you mean to have it.
What does the person who opens the link see?
The link opens a single page with the list's name, how many questions it has, its parts if it is a long list, the questions themselves and a Play button. If the list is for a test, the page shows that and the date. The page never shows who made the list.
They tap Play and the round starts. No account is needed, nothing has to be installed, and no hearts are used. The page says so itself: Playing here saves nothing about you. No account needed.
A shared list plays in the game you chose for it, with one exception: a list set to Matching or Speed run plays as Mixed on the shared page.
What is saved when someone plays a shared list?
Nothing. A round played from a shared link saves no progress, pays no coins and stores nothing about the person who played. That also means you cannot see who opened the link, who played or how they did. The link is a way to hand over the questions, not a way to collect results.
| On the shared page | In their own account | |
|---|---|---|
| Needs an account | No | Yes, free |
| Uses a heart | No | Yes, one per round |
| Saves progress and pays coins | No | Yes |
| Follows your later edits | Yes | No, a copy is their own |
Can they keep the list?
Yes. The shared page has a Save a copy button that puts the list into the visitor's own My lists. Someone who is not signed in sees Sign in to save a copy and comes back to the page after signing in. A copy belongs to them: it does not change when you edit your list later.
What happens when I edit or delete the list?
The link always plays the list as it is now, so questions you add or remove later show up for everyone who opens it. There is no separate switch to turn a link off: deleting the list ends its link, and so does deleting your account. After that the link opens a page that says This list is gone.
To stop a link but keep the questions, make a new list with the same questions and delete the old one. The new list has no link until you share it.
Can a teacher use this for a class?
A teacher can share a list link with a whole class, and every child can play it at once with no accounts. That is all it is: a link. Plusy has no classes, no teacher account and no results, so a teacher cannot see which children played or what they scored.
It suits practice before a test or a set of questions for the week. A child who wants their own coins, streak and place on the roads needs a family account, which a grown-up can start free.
Questions
Does the other family need to pay or sign up?
No. Playing a shared list is free and needs no account. They only sign in if they want to save a copy into their own lists.
Can I see who played the list I shared?
No. Plusy stores nothing about who opens or plays a shared link, so there is no list of players and no scores to look at.
Will the link stop working after a while?
The link works for as long as the list exists. It ends when you delete the list or your account, and then it shows This list is gone.
How many lists can I share?
Every list can have its own link. An account can make up to 20 new links a day, which is more than a family or a class normally needs.
Can the person I share with change my list?
No. They can play it and save a copy for themselves, and the copy is theirs to edit. Your own list changes only when you edit it.
