Your child's own homework

Make your own list

A list is your own set of math questions, like this week's homework. Type them, paste them, pick a range or describe what you want, and Plusy works out every answer.

How do I make a list?

To make a list in Plusy, open the My lists tab and tap New list. The builder has four tabs, Type, Make a list, Scan a worksheet and AI list, and all four fill the same row of questions, so you can mix them in one list. Then tap Start to save and play.

How do I type or paste questions?

In the Type tab, write a question such as 7 x 8 and press Enter or type a comma. Each question becomes a chip. You can also paste a whole set at once, one question per line, and Plusy turns every line it can read into a chip.

Can Plusy make the questions for me?

Yes, in two ways. Make a list draws questions from a range you pick, with no AI and no daily limit. AI list writes a list from a description in your own words, such as a grade and a topic. Both make whole-number questions only.

1

Make a list: pick the operation

Addition, Subtraction, Times tables, Division or Mixed.

2

Pick the range

Addition and subtraction go Within 10, Within 20, Within 100 or Within 1,000. Times tables lets you choose the tables, or Beyond the tables for a number from 13 to 99 times 1 to 9. Division asks which numbers to divide by.

3

Pick how many

5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 questions. Make new ones draws a fresh set if you do not like the first.

For an AI list, type a description under Describe the list, for example "3rd grade: two-digit addition with carrying, 20 questions", and tap Make my list. A description can be up to 300 characters. If you give no number, the list has 20 questions.

A free account can make one AI list a day. Once Plusy is unlocked, an account can make up to 50 AI lists a month.

How many questions does a list hold?

A Plusy list holds from 1 to 60 questions. If you paste more, the first 60 are kept. A name can be up to 60 characters, and with no name the list is called by today's date. One account can hold up to 200 lists.

How do I edit, rename or delete a list?

Open the list from My lists. Under its questions are three actions: Edit, Share and Delete.

How does my child play a list?

Tap Play on the list. A list plays as Mixed unless you choose another game: tap Change on the game row and pick Multiple choice, Type it, Fill the gap, Matching or Speed run. Plusy remembers the choice for that list. Matching and Speed run leave fraction questions out. The games are described in The games.

A list longer than 12 questions is played in parts of 12, in the order of the list. Each finished part moves the list on to the next one. A list round uses one heart like any round, and never moves your child's place on the roads.

Questions

Do I have to type the answers?

No. Plusy works out every answer itself in all four ways of making a list. An answer typed after an = sign, or written on a scanned worksheet, is ignored.

Why was one of my questions skipped?

A question is skipped when it has more than one step, a decimal, an answer below zero or above 99,999, or when it is already in the list. A fraction question is kept, unless it multiplies or divides fractions or is one of a few kinds listed in the Fractions road. The reason is shown beside each skipped line.

Does making a list cost anything?

Typing a list and Make a list are free and unlimited. A free account also gets one worksheet scan and one AI list a day. Unlocking Plusy raises those two to up to 50 a month each.

How do I tell an AI list which grade it is for?

Write the grade or age in the description. Plusy understands '5th grade', 'grade 5', 'Year 6', 'age 10' and the Hebrew כיתה ה, for grades 1 to 6. Add the topic and how many questions you want.
